Keith Conway 2
Keith Conway at the Traverse City Trail Running Festival in 2014

Keith Conway used to weigh over 300 pounds and smoke two packs of cigarettes a day. Two months ago he finished his first Ironman Triathlon (that’s a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2-mile run!). I started noticing Keith around the local running and triathlon scene about five or six years ago, and nowadays he’s doing some sort of race just about every weekend. And, he’s having fun doing it. Keith shared his inspirational story of going from an overweight smoker, through his transition to a life surrounded by positive people and activities, to now being the owner of an indoor cycling and yoga studio. Have a listen as we talk about his inspiration to start running, his first 5k finish, and, of course, his recent Ironman Texas finish.
